Reflections on the National Day Rally 2010

Every year, just a week before the National Day Rally, it is common to hear Singaporeans conversing on what goodies would be announced. In this year’s rally, there was not much focus on the goodies. I presume that the government is trying to bring across the idea that Singaporeans should not always depend entirely on the government and be self sufficient.
